Your Yarn Spinning Adventure Awaits…

When I started my yarn spinning adventure, I felt like I had discovered something magical. From the first twist of my spindle, I was hooked! But, I made so many mistakes in the beginning of my spinning adventure that sometimes I thought about selling my spinning wheel or maybe turning it into a lamp stand. Do you know what I’m talking about?

Sure, I could call my lumpy yarn “rustic” but it wasn’t the yarn I really wanted to make. It was the yarn that accidentally happened while I was at my spinning wheel. And worse yet, I didn’t know what to do with it. But, I was determined and I persevered!

I’ve been spinning for almost a decade now and I have spun yarn for people all over America using the fiber from their own sheep, goats, rabbits, and alpacas. I’ve also used my own hand spun to make hats, gloves, wall hangings, rugs, scarves, shawls, and more! You can check out some of my projects in my gallery.

People were always asking me how I learned to spin. I answered, “I learned from a lot of trial and error, books, and YouTube videos.”

Then one day it hit me… I should make spinning videos to help other people learn how to spin too! That is when the JillianEve blog was born. I’m always on a fiber journey to learn and experience more of the amazing craft of spinning and working with yarn. Want to join me? Your yarn spinning adventure awaits!

Welcome fiber friend. Check out the blog to follow along with my current projects, check out my YouTube channel to chat in my weekly live stream, or head over to the tutorials page to learn how you can make the yarn you want so you can craft with confidence. Are you ready? Let’s make yarn!
